So, please, if you are going to reply, keep in mind that what I want is to see if I forgot some important elements in trailers, interviews, etc. But, even considering this (and knowing that this idea of "Silksong being more accessible" already was part of the game when the demo released), I still see too much things that seem contradictory with this idea. I already know that they can do balance patches, and all of that. My only goal with this post was to see if someone knew about something I did forgot. Im not saying that any of these are 100% things in the game that can't be changed So, what do you think?Įdit : So, to be clear. I would personally love Silksong to be harder than Hollow Knight, but it still seems a bit contradictory to me knowing what they said about it being more accessible. The only thing that comes to my mind is that, in the footage of the demo, mask shards seemed to be way easier to get, just by doing normal or fast jumps in some locations, but that's all Im really curious about what could make all of this "easier" for new players. Maybe they are, indeed, minibosses, but the designs, while being really good, seem much more "generic", so I don't think they are minibosses In the "recent" Xbox trailer, new enemies in general gave me the impression of being as hard as minibosses. Also, bosses seem to be much more tankier? Maybe the players that tried the demo are just too passive, but if feels like bosses have much more life than Hollow Knight's, making bossfights longer and harder Hornet has much more movements than the knight, it even has things like the parry move, and also moves faster, which could lead to lots of deads because of new players trying to adapt to the speed of the combat Combat is much more complex, and the same goes for movement and platforming in general, which seems harder to adapt to. Hornet i-frames after getting hit are much sorter that the knight's, which punishes "trading damage" strats, while in Hollow Knight they are really effective for most of the game because of the i-frames after being hit, you can almost hit 3 times which is enougth for 1 heal, AKA, being kinda able to do free damage a lot of times Hornet has a quicker heal, BUT, you need to hit 8 (?) times to be able to even heal I kind of remember a statement from TC saying that Silksong would be easier and more accesible for new players, at least in the early game, but, from what I saw in trailers, it doesn't look easier, it even looks much harder : r/demonssouls /r/darksouls /r/darksouls2 /r/darksouls3 /r/bloodborne /r/saltandsanctuary /r/castlevania /r/metroid
